My burnout story
Picture

Born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, I came to the U.S. for college and got my dream job working in U.S.-Colombia relations straight out of school. I loved what I did so much that I didn’t take a single vacation day my first year of work.

I then worked for 8 years with the Arlington County Government, focusing on bilingual and emergency communications.

After 17 years in the workforce, I was burned out, overworked, and struggling to stay motivated. Even though I was eating well and exercising, my unmanaged stress resulted in migraines, chronic insomnia, and a feeling of constant exhaustion.

My Health Journey

After working with my own coach, I went back to school to study health and wellness. I realized I could use my passion for wellbeing to help other women prioritize their health so they could avoid the burnout I experienced and remain at the top of their fields.

My Approach to Wellbeing

The one-size-fits-all approach to health is simply not helpful. Sweeping advice like “just meditate for 30 minutes every day” and “always stick to a plant-based diet” is just not viable or helpful.
Instead, I work with my clients to optimize what’s already working in their lives and create achievable strategies to address what isn’t.
